Established in 2045 B.S., Janata Bahumukhi Campus (JMC), Itahari, has been operating as a leading community campus with a firm commitment to providing quality education at affordable and accessible rates to people from Itahari and surrounding regions. Starting modestly under limited resources within Janata Secondary School, the campus faced many challenges in its early years. Over its academic journey, the campus has achieved notable milestones. In 2018, it obtained quality-assurance accreditation from the University Grants Commission Nepal (UGC), underscoring its commitment to maintaining high academic standards and continuous improvement. Organizing this International Conference further attests to our resolve to advance scholarly dialogue and contribute to global knowledge and academic development. Presently, JMC attracts students from the 14 districts of Koshi Province and several parts of Madhesh Province, offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in selected disciplines under Management, Humanities, and Education faculties.

Higher education today confronts a rapidly evolving landscape shaped by technological disruption, environmental challenges, and shifting socio-economic dynamics. Addressing these complex realities demands innovation, research, and sustainability — yet many traditional approaches still struggle to integrate these elements effectively into curricula and institutional practices. With this international conference, we aim to bridge that gap. By bringing together diverse perspectives from Humanities and Social Sciences, Education, Management, and English Language Teaching (ELT), we seek to create a collaborative platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, innovation, and shared learning.

This conference aims not just for theoretical discussion but for practical, implementable strategies. It emphasizes sustainable development, cultural preservation, ethical leadership, and institutional resilience. We also intend to explore the role of green business models, social entrepreneurship, and responsible supply chains in the context of management education. Central to our vision is the empowerment of teachers — their professional development, well-being, and capacity to deliver quality education — alongside policy advocacy for sustained educational improvement.

The main theme of the conference is “Innovation, Research and Sustainability in Higher Education.” The conference also aims to provide a valuable forum for academics, researchers, policymakers, development professionals, and practitioners to engage in collaborative research, exchange empirical and theoretical knowledge, present case studies, and formulate practical recommendations. Through this, we hope to contribute meaningfully to institutional reform, sustainable educational practices, and holistic human development.
